Want to stick your hands in the dirt?

Join us for our Farm and Forest Volunteer Days and learn more about growing with the seasons and native habitat restoration!

Who: This opportunity is for advanced learners, 12+ years old.

What: Volunteers will help Oxbow farmers and the Native Plant Nursery with sowing, transplanting, invasive species removal, pruning, restoration planting and more! Bring a water bottle, wear close-toed shoes and come prepared to get dirty!

We’ll wrap up the Farm and Forest day with a farm tour led by one of Oxbow’s staff; learn more about the history of the farm, Oxbow’s organic growing and education philosophy, ongoing research in the Native Plant Nursery and more!

When: 

– Second Saturdays of the month with the Native Plant Nursery: 10am – noon. Farm tour will follow!

– Fourth Fridays of the month with Ox Education in the Children’s Farm: 2pm — 4pm. Farm tour will follow!

Upon arrival, please park in the gravel parking immediately to the left of the driveway, walk down to the barn and we’ll meet you there!
