Movin’ on out

We’ve been seeding crops in the propagation house since February. Late last week, we took advantage of a few cool, gray days to transplant out our first rounds of kale, collard greens, napa cabbage and chard.

From this point on, the prop house becomes a revolving door. The first succession of lettuce is up next for transplanting, and as the days lengthen, the pace picks up and the windows of time shorten between sowing and transplanting. Over the next few months, we will continually seed new crops in the prop house and transplant out those that are well-established in an ever-more-complicated juggle for table space. We’ll keep you posted on the progress!
