Welcoming Wilman!

Every year Oxbow hosts one or more graduate students from Oregon State University who are pursuing research in native plant propagation, restoration, or ecology. This year we are lucky to have Wilman Plácido Madé join us and help push Oxbow’s conservation mission forward. Wilman will be researching the effects of various soil treatments on the growth of native plantings, the characteristics of the treated soils, and suppression of Himalayan blackberry.

Wilman hails from the Dominican Republic and has done all kinds of exciting work in the areas of forestry, horticulture, and seed biology in such far-flung places as Italy, Korea, the Dominican Republic, as well as in the United States.

Welcome, Wilman!
