Seattle public schoolteachers are staging a walkout on Tuesday, May 19th to protest underfunding from the state legislature. If you’re a Seattle parent at a loss for what to do on Tuesday, we would LOVE to welcome you to Oxbow. Family Farm Days

This season, for the first time EVER, Oxbow will be open for FREE one Sunday every month, welcoming families and individuals wishing to see and experience the Kids’ Farm, Children’s Garden, and Living Playground. The farm will be open from 10:00 to 2:00. We have ample space for picnicking, hiking trails, and educational signage around the farm about our operations and programs. Oxbow is happy to announce our first-ever Mother’s Day-weekend plant sale. Hayrides on the hour, 11:00 – 3:00 Photography walk with Brittany Wright at 1:30 pm, Saturday Foraging walk with Heidi Bohan at 1:30 pm, Sunday We will be offering both Washington State native plants for landscaping and restoration purposes AND an array of edible plants for your garden. Come on down to the farm from 10-4 Saturday or Sunday to peruse the selection and to get advice from a farmer.

Ox/WAS Camps 2014

This summer, Oxbow partnered for four weeks of summer camp with our neighbors in the Valley, Wilderness Awareness School. For four years, WAS and Oxbow have joined forces for Farm and Forest Camps–day camps for kids that apply WAS’ nature connection philosophy on our vegetable farm.
