Oxbow Farm: The Virtual Tour

Farm stand and pumpkin portal

As the season winds down, attention turns to prepping the farm for a Snoqualmie River flood. Maybe it will happen, maybe it won’t, but we make sure we’re prepared. Vehicles and equipment are moved to the highest possible ground and roads are covered. This year, our efforts were rewarded with a small flood and we are grateful for it. Floods drown dreaded pest larva and deliver minerals to our fields. Trust us, our 2014 crops of summer and winter squash … read more…

Remembering summer…

R2-01674-0027

Evenin’ y’all…  As I’m sitting here at my computer, bundled in blankets and listening to the wind outside my window, I can’t help but think back to my dreamy Oxbow summer of 2012. I’m sure we’d all be hard pressed to find a farmer who doesn’t love the summer time. The livin’ may not be as easy as the famous song suggests, but it certainly is rewarding… When I’m not writing, farming, or playing my guitar, I love taking photographs with my … read more…
