Pre-K through 5th Grade Programs
Explore the first signs of spring at Oxbow! Our spring field trips awaken kids’ senses to the magic of the early growing season on our kid-friendly vegetable farm. Students sample early-season crops and even sow seeds!
90 minutes, mid-April through mid-June
Explore the bounties of the summer season! On these guided summer farm tours, campers will discover the critters that help our plants grow and will dig in with farm skills, harvesting and eating along the way.
90 minutes, select dates July through August
Experience the glory of the harvest! These guided farm adventures take kids through our fields on a scavenger hunt for the six plant parts- roots, stems, leaves, flowers, fruits and seeds. When we find the plant parts, we harvest and eat them. Kids take home a sugar pie pumpkin.
75 minutes, mid-September through mid-November
Bring a farmer into your classroom! During the winter season when outdoor field trips aren’t possible, Oxbow’s farm educators bring the farm to you with one of several interactive lessons.
One hour, January through March
Spend a summer week at Oxbow! Our summer camp sessions are full of exploration, art, games, songs, fresh farm foods, nature connection activities, and more.
Five, week-long sessions of summer day camps, June through August
6th Grade and up
Experience a real organic farm! This advanced program is an intro to sustainable farming practices. Students tour our 30-acre production farm and participate in a hands-on service project!
