Expert Tour # 7: Floodplain Ecology & Dynamics

Description
Floodplains are incredibly dynamic, challenging, and bountiful places for people and wildlife. What makes a river flood? How does flooding change and shape the ecology and life in the Snoqualmie Valley? Join Matt Distler, ecologist with Oxbow Farm & Conservation Center, and learn how farms, woodlands, and wetlands are impacted and born from the flooding Snoqualmie.
As this is a walking tour please be sure to wear appropriate footwear and clothing. Be prepared for rain or shine. Bring a notebook if you wish to take notes.
