December 6 @ 10:00 am - 1:00 pm

Fruit Tree Pruning WorkshopSpend an afternoon and get hands-on experience with fruit tree pruning while helping out at Oxbow Farm & Conservation Center!

When: Friday, December 6th, 2019, from 10AM-1PM

Learn about pruning fruit trees and perennial systems from local fruit tree enthusiast Ben Mardis! Over the course of the day, you’ll lend a hand at Oxbow’s Kids’ Farm as you learn the basics of fruit tree care and develop the skills to manage your own (or your neighbor’s) trees. All skill levels are welcome (ages 18 & up, please) and no experience is necessary. The workshop is FREE to attend!

What to bring: A desire to learn and put in some hard work! Prepare to be outside all day. Wear warm layers, boots, gloves, pruners (we will have some extra), a mug for hot drinks, and a lunch. Light snacks and hot coffee/tea will be provided.

Space is limited! RSVP by emailing volunteer@oxbow.org
