Native Hedgerow Restoration w/ Stewardship Partners: June 14

Join Stewardship Partners and Oxbow Organic Farm and Education Center on Saturday, June 14 (10-2) for an environmental restoration project! During this event we will begin the first stage of our Native Hedgerow project and remove invasive plant species in an effort to prepare the site for future planting. We will revisit the site and plant native trees and shrubs in the fall of 2014. Light refreshments will be provided, along with tools, gloves and an overview of the restoration work we are doing, why it’s important and how to do it. We’ll also educate volunteers about Oxbow Farm and Stewardship Partners.

We encourage you to bring a friend and/or family members. Bring a bag lunch and a snack if you would like as well as a full water bottle and a coffee cup or travel mug for refreshments.

This is a family-friendly event, but children must be accompanied by an adult.  Also, although we know dogs love farms, they are not allowed on the property, so please leave them at home. Thank you!
