Due to expected flooding on November 1st, our U-Pick pumpkin patch will be closed on Saturday, October 31st to allow our staff to prepare the farm for flood conditions.
Winter floods in the Snoqualmie Valley are normal and expected. They cause some hardships for farmers but also contribute markedly to the region’s soil fertility and viability as farmland.
Stay tuned for a post-flood update from us. As we wrote about after last January’s inundation, farming in a floodplain is both a blessing and a curse.
Friday, October 30th will be the last day to visit our pumpkin patch.
