We have two exciting new programs to keep you connected to Oxbow this year! 

Families/Small groups: Our new Family Farm Adventures offer a safe Oxbow experience that gets the whole family outdoors and digging in to food, farming, and nature!

Classrooms/Larger groups: Enhance your class’s science learning with our new Virtual Farm Adventures! Get a behind-the scenes tour of our kid-friendly organic vegetable farm, with plenty of opportunities to engage with our Farmer-Educators and ask questions!

Virtual Farm Adventures | New for 2020!

VIRTUAL FARM ADVENTURESOxbow’s Virtual Farm Adventures connect you and your learning community to the seasonal changes on an organic vegetable farm, wherever you are! Virtual Farm Adventures are for everyone, including schools, families, homeschool groups, and beyond. Step into Oxbow’s world and learn about our organic farming practices, Snoqualmie Valley ecology, and more about the plants that humans (and other critters!) eat. Family Farm Adventures | New for 2020!

Developed in response to COVID-19 and the desire to keep kids engaged in the outdoors, Oxbow’s Family Farm Adventure field trips connect families to the magic of Oxbow in a safe and meaningful way! You’ll experience a semi-private 2-hour tour of our kid-friendly farm, enjoying the bounties of the season as you explore, play, and learn in fresh air. | Learn more & register

Registration for Oxbow’s Fall, Winter, and Spring in-person programs is currently closed, but you can still click through below to read program descriptions and learn about our offerings. We can’t want to host classrooms of all sizes on the farm again in the future, and will update this space just as soon as we’re able to – in the meantime, stay safe and healthy!

Pre-K through 5th Grade Programs

Fall Farm Adventures

Experience the glory of the harvest! Our guided fall field trips take kids on a scavenger hunt for the six plant parts: roots, stems, leaves, flowers, fruits and seeds. When we find the plant parts, we harvest and eat them! Kids take home a sugar pie pumpkin.| Learn more.

Summer Farm Adventures

Discover the bounties of the summer season! On our guided summer field trips, groups will discover the critters that help our plants grow. Students will dig in with real farm skills, harvesting and eating along the way! | Learn more

Winter Farmer in the Classroom Visits

Bring a farmer into your classroom! During the winter season when outdoor field trips aren’t possible, Oxbow’s farm educators bring the farm to you with one of several interactive lessons. Explore topics like seeds, birds, pollinators, and more! | Learn more

Spring Farm Adventures

Explore the first signs of spring! Oxbow’s spring field trips will awaken students’ senses to the magic of the early growing season on our kid-friendly vegetable farm. Taste early-season crops and even sow seeds to take home! | Learn more

Farm Discovery Package

4th Grade and Beyond

Organic Farming 101

STEM Career Days

STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) education is critical to 21st-century learning and helps prepare students to confront complex problems in a rapidly changing world.
