Open Day at Oxbow 7/11/20

July 11 @ 10:00 am - 3:00 pm

Oxbow will be open Saturday, July 11th, from 10AM-3PM. We invite anyone who would like come to join us and use the space as a place to find a bit of solace and experience nature, even if just for a little while. We believe that Oxbow is a place to connect, to reflect, and seek comfort in community, even in a socially-distanced manner!

Unlike other Oxbow Saturdays and public events, the Farm Stand will be CLOSED. We simply invite you and your family unit to enjoy the space as you’d like. Take in some fresh air, enjoy our four self guided trail walks, picnic at well-distanced tables, or just take a moment to stretch your legs and enjoy the views.

For July 11th, we’ll offer two free drop-in Oxbow tours: one at 11AM, and one at 1PM, limited to four participants. Our Conservation Program Manager will give you a fascinating look at Oxbow, focusing on the natural history of the Snoqualmie River Valley. First come, first served – meet at the Farm Stand at the start time!

A few health and safety rules:

  • Visitors must sign in upon arrival – if you are experiencing COVID-19 like symptoms, please stay home!
  • Observe social distancing of 6 feet or more and wear a mask or face covering. Per Governor Inslee’s July 7th orders, face coverings are required at all places of business, indoors or out.
  • Please bring your own food and refreshments. Pack it in and pack it out!
  • Observe all posted signage indicating which areas are for visitors. We’ll provide tables and room to spread out. If you come across an unmarked area, do not enter!
  • Dogs are NOT allowed anywhere on Oxbow grounds, including in the parking area.
  • Do not enter or harvest from any of the farm fields, including the Kids’ Farm.
  • Be mindful that we have Honey Buckets for visitor bathroom use. We will have hand washing stations and hand sanitizer available.
