Education Team Flood Clean-up Volunteering

January 28 @ 9:00 am - 12:00 pm

Free
Volunteers wearing protective gloves join hands in a circle to support Oxbow’s Education Team Flood Clean-up Day on January 28.

Help Restore Oxbow’s Education Spaces

Scrub, sanitize, and prepare a safe learning environment that supports outdoor education for all ages.

In December, record flooding submerged the Snoqualmie Valley, impacting Oxbow’s educational infrastructure and shared-use spaces. Equipment and activity areas were affected by floodwaters, leaving behind potential microbial and inorganic contaminants. As we work to create a safe and welcoming setting for future workshops and field trips, we could use some extra hands with the clean-up.

Before and after image of Oxbow’s Kids’ Farm and Living Playground, showing the space before and during the December 2025 flood.
This before-and-during photo shows just how high the December floodwaters rose in our Kids’ Farm, Living Playground, and education pergolas.
