Volunteer Opportunity: Restoration Work Party

January 11 @ 10:00 am

It’s the first volunteer work party of 2020 and we need your help to keep our New Year’s resolutions! We’ve got over a thousand trees to get in this planting season and we need your help to plant them in time. So whether your resolution is to volunteer more, work out more, eat healthier, or plant more trees like us, lets keep our resolutions together. Every plant we put in the ground gives us years of healthy forests, air, water, and soil.

This time we will be planting our first set of bare root trees and shrubs where last year’s volunteers removed layers of clematis and blackberry. Come volunteer with and help us restore the native habitats around the valley. We will provide gloves, tools, and water.

You should bring:

  • your reusable water bottle
  • boots or close-toed shoes
  • clothes to get muddy in
  • weather-appropriate outerwear
  • snacks or lunch if you want them

Minor Waivers

Please note that while we welcome minors to volunteer with us, the following waiver must be filled out by a parent or guardian and returned to our Restoration Volunteer Coordinator, either by email at dawn@oxbow.org or in person, the day of your volunteer event!
