Better Together

The best relationships are mutually beneficial, just ask the flowers and the bees. While buzzing from flower to flower collecting pollen and nectar for energy, bees incidentally spread pollen in each flower, allowing them to cross-pollinate and form seeds for future generations. Inspired by nature’s reciprocal relationships, our intention is to build a mutually symbiotic relationship with you, allowing us to grow together and deepen both of our environmental understanding and impact.

Network

You can connect with like-minded environmental enthusiasts, whether for your business, your family, or yourself. Join a group of people passionate about building a resilient landscape through Member events, digital connections, and more.

Oxbow can increase our network and reach through direct and consistent communication with our members. We build a stronger community by getting to know local partners, vendors, sponsors, and like-minded organizations.

Research

You will receive information about new and ongoing projects through our exclusive Members-only newsletter where we share reports, status, and news about our restoration and conservation efforts.

Membership financially supports Oxbow to design, propose, and pursue new research and conservation projects. Your curiosity and interest in these projects motivate our teams to continue expanding our capabilities and deepening our understanding to support a resilient ecosystem.

Elevate

Whether you are a hobbyist or dedicated environmentalist, being an Oxbow Member provides opportunities to deepen your knowledge and experience through volunteer projects, education, member events, and workshops.

Through partnerships, donors, shareholders, and loyal members, Oxbow can continue building healthy food systems, a resilient habitat, and education opportunities for people of all ages.

Impact

In 2022, you showed up to our events and public engagement programs. With over 9,000 people, young and old, welcomed to our grounds, we were able to provide magical memories and unique experiences for you, your loved ones, and the greater Oxbow community to connect, learn, and enjoy nature.

During the past year alone, Oxbow restored 1.1 acres of habitat, planted over 2,600 new plants, donated over 15,500 lbs of organic produce to local food access programs, and sequestered carbon and promoted soil health by cover-cropping 15 acres of farmland.

Frequently Asked Questions

Short answer, no.

How come?
Well, Oxbow’s Farm Share (formally known as CSA) and Membership Program are two distinct ways that you can support Oxbow’s work and mission.

What’s the difference between the two programs?
Oxbow Members support all areas of our work—from conservation to education. Membership is a yearly commitment, during which members have access to a host of benefits listed on this page. Becoming a member is a great way to show your support of our mission!

Farm Shareholders specifically support our Farm Team in all aspects of the growing seasons in exchange for produce.
Shareholders make an up-front investment to receive a weekly “share” of produce through any our 3 seasonal CSA program options—Spring, Main Season (summer), and Late Fall.

Our goal is to research and practice sustainable farming methods, grow food and native plants, and educate people of all ages about agriculture and the environment.

We are a dynamic organization that actively promotes biodiversity, climate resilience, and healthy food systems through our programs, projects, and ongoing day-to-day efforts. By being a member, you play a central role in financing, motivating, and benefiting from our work at Oxbow; we do it for you and thanks to you.

These events are a unique way for Members to access experts, a community of like-minded folks, and opportunities to connect with nature. We have created a year-round schedule with workshops, tours, classes, and incredible opportunities to gather, share, and connect with nature and each other through Member Days.

We partner with organizations, vendors, and individuals (our programs) to help us continue carrying our mission and help you obtain valuable resources to love and care for our ecosystem.

Some examples of member-exclusive events & activities include book dialogues, guest speakers, yoga in the orchard, pollinator station workshop, intro to pickling, tastes from the farm, and many more.

If you’re a vendor, speaker, or researcher interested in hosting an event for our members, please reach out to us at members@oxbow.org

We will provide instructions and/or discount codes in your Member Newsletter for 10% off other events, workshops, and offerings.
