Spring Farm Adventures

Oxbow’s Spring Farm Adventure field trips are designed to expose students to the magic of the early growing season. These hands-on adventures open kids’ eyes, ears, noses, and taste buds to the life, big and small, on our kid-friendly vegetable farm. Students even participate in a springtime farm activity: planting seeds! To get more information about our Spring Farm Adventures, you can access our resource guide to plan ahead.

  • Meet the inhabitants of our worm bin and learn why they are a farmer’s best friend.
  • Sow seeds and venture through the living tunnel, looking for signs of spring.
  • Sample some early-season herbs and other crops.
  • Learn what seeds need to grow and plant a seed to take home.
