Good news for gardeners: A selection of Oxbow native pollinator plants will be for sale this Saturday, March 12 from 11 A.M. – 3:00 P.M. at Seattle Tilth’s March Edible Plant Sale at Rainier Beach Urban Farm and Wetlands.

The five species of native plants—yarrow, red columbine, large-leaf lupine, Douglas aster, and pink sea thrift—were all grown in Oxbow’s Native Plant Nursery. These species were specifically chosen for their sale due to their attractiveness to native, pollinating species of birds and insects. Native pollinator plants provide much-needed food and habitat for native species, promote overall ecological health, and add beauty to the garden.
