What to expect
Our events have exclusive activities custom-made with you in mind to provide you with opportunities to explore, create, learn and make magical memories in the great outdoors.
You can participate in our event-related activities or explore on your own by taking a walk in the farm fields, hiking, and playing along the Snoqualmie Riverbank.
Immerse yourself in nature, taking a break from the city and connecting, listening & watching life thrive around Oxbow.
Some fan-favorite activities include:
- Bringing snacks from home and enjoying a picnic with fresh produce from our Farm Stand.
- Exploring the Living Playground by roaming free in a kid-friendly setting (Climbing a real-life tractor is always fun for the little ones!)
- Peeking into a Conservation Center, where restoration activities are happening all the time.
- Touring a one-of-a-kind PNW Native Plant Nursery.
- Coming camera-ready and take advantage of our natural photo-ops around the site.
We are a King County farm located in beautiful Carnation, WA, just 25 miles from Seattle, and we are looking forward to seeing you soon!

Oxbow Open House
Saturday, April 22, 10am-4pm
Join us for family-friendly outdoor fun as we welcome our community back to the farm after the winter season. Come celebrate Earth Day and support environmental efforts by participating in an educational tour and volunteer opportunities.

Oxtober

Savor the changing season during our annual Oxtober Fall Festival! Explore the Living Playground, ride the Oxboat on the pumpkin river, and stock up on certified organic, farm-fresh produce. Don’t forget to grab your pumpkin to take home! Register here.

2023 Workshops Lineup
Oxbow’s workshops offer intimate and in-depth educational opportunities to grow together. Our 2023 lineup offers a variety of experiences that explore our connection to our ecosystem, our responsibility to learn to share what we know with the next generation, organic farming, healthy eating, and more!
Oxbow Workshops were born out of a hope to create accessible learning and connection opportunities for our whole community which is why most of our workshop tickets are free, but include a suggested donation price. Please note that a few workshops have a required minimum payment due to supply/vendor cost.
Flower Field Bouquet Workshop
Wednesday, August 2

Build an a arrangement with Oxbow’s resident flower farmers using seasonally available materials grown right here on the farm.
Sourdough Workshop
Saturday, August 19
1-3:30pm
Join bread master Jessica Sherrow to shape your own sourdough boule and take home both a loaf of fresh baked bread and a proofing basket!
Wild Plant Foraging
Wednesday, August 23
3:30-5:30pm
Deepen your connection to the PNW by learning about its many native plants and their many utilities in this workshop guided by Rachael Witt.
People Powered Pesto
Sunday, September 17
1-2:30pm
Bring the whole family to our kids’ farm and use our pedal-powered bike blender to turn hand-picked produce into fun spins on classic recipes.
Dyeing with Summer Flowers
Saturday, October 7

Use natural dyes made with flowers from Oxbow and learn from our very own Momo Suzuki to make your own dyed handkerchief to take home!
Fall Mushroom Cultivation & ID
Sunday, October 8
1 hour sessions at 11AM or 1PM
Learn more about fantastic fungi through this hands-on workshop with Marrowstone Mushrooms. Prepare to make and take home your own grow kit!
Creative Writing Workshop

Visitor Info & FAQs
We are located at 10819 Carnation-Duvall Rd NE.
- Please drive slowly (10 MPH) on all farm roads and watch for other guests.
- Follow the signs directing you to the parking area.
- Do not drive past the Farm Stand unless you’ve been instructed by Oxbow staff.
- Dress for the weather: Bring a hat and wear layers. Sun protection and a water bottle are highly recommended.
- Wear appropriate footwear. The fields and public areas have lots of lumps and bumps, so sturdy, closed-toe shoes or boots are recommended.
- Credit cards, cash, check, and EBT are accepted for Farm Stand purchases when the Farm Stand is open.
- Mud happens! A spare towel or two to put down in your car for the ride home can’t hurt.
- Face coverings are required when shopping in the Farm Stand. Thank you for helping keep our community and staff safe. See our full mask guidelines above.
- We love animals just as much as you do, but with the exception of registered service animals, dogs and other pets are not permitted on our working organic farm. Pets may NOT be kept in the parking area. Please leave your furry friends at home!
- No alcoholic beverages, please. With the exception of special permitted events, alcohol is not allowed on the property.
- No cigarettes, e-cigs, or vape pens, please. Smoking of any kind is not allowed on the property.

Each event is different and unique, we offer curated chef’s meals during some, and sell snacks and meals in our outdoor kitchen during others. When it’s open, you can also shop the Farm Stand for light snacks and beverages.
U-Pick is subject to seasonality and quantity. Please check in at the Farm Stand for availability.
We kindly ask our guests to observe all posted signage indicating which areas are for visitors. If you come across an unmarked area, please, do not enter.
Do not enter tunnels or harvest anywhere unless invited to by Oxbow staff.
