2013 Oxbow Newsletter #13 – Farm Fun this Fall

We LOVE celebrating the fall harvest season at Oxbow, and we particularly love to celebrate it with all of YOU, our shareholders and friends! This year we have sooooo many ways you can come and enjoy the season with us! Here’s a snapshot of what’s on offer this fall.

Harvest Party ~ Salmon Roast & Potluck
Saturday Oxtober 5th

This is our 14th year we’ll invite our members to the farm to celebrate the season with us. Come on out and meet your farmers and see where the magic grows. This event is exclusively for our CSA members and friends of the farm. Bring a dish and come on out to YOUR farm to celebrate another season with us.

Pumpkin Festival
Saturday September 28th

Come get lost in our pumpkin patch. An event to please all ages, hay rides, u-pick pumpkin patch, farm stand and bobbing for apples. Maybe you’ll try your hand at pressing fresh cider. We’ll have lots of popcorn popping, a scavenger hunt, fun farm crafts and games, live music and delicious food trucks to keep you sated!  Everyone is invited advance tickets are $5/person ($7 at the door)  Get your tickets today!

Harvest HoeDown
Sunday Oxtober 6th

An event to please all ages, hay rides,the pumpkin patch and bobbing for apples. Maybe you’ll try climbing the greased pole or pressing fresh cider. We’ll have lots of popcorn popping, a scavenger hunt, fun farm crafts and games, live music, food and cooking demos and delicious food trucks to keep you sated!  Everyone is invited advance tickets are $5/person ($7 at the door)  Get your tickets today!

 

U-Pick Pumpkin Paradise
September 28th – Oxtober 27th

The patch will be open for exploring and finding the perfect pumpkin!
Thursday through Sunday from 10am – 4pm.

Our farm stand will be overflowing with the fresh veggies & AMAZING pumpkins. Get some “slingers” and try out our Pumpkin Slingking. Bring a picnic and enjoy lunch in the Children’s Garden.

Farm Adventures for School Groups
September 16th – November 15th

These creative adventures open kids’ eyes to soil, insects, growing food, and farm flavors. They explore the Children’s Garden, play games in our Living Playground, observe the creepy critters, sow and snack on seeds, pick and eat food in the Kids’ Farm, sing songs and hear farm stories.
