How does Oxbow’s CSA work?

Invest in your farm

You invest in the growing season as a CSA Shareholder, paying your farmers an up-front price; your farmers then purchase the seeds and equipment needed to grow your delicious organic produce.

Pick up veggies

Visit Oxbow’s CSA Farm Stand or farmers market booth to select exactly what you’d like in your weekly Share. Our unique “Market Style” structure means easier meal planning, more eating what you want, and less food waste!

Explore Oxbow with your loved ones! During pickup time, see our farming practices in action, talk with your farmers, and enjoy seasonal U-Pick veggies, orchard fruit, berries, herbs, and flowers. Oxbow is YOUR farm!

You become part of our community of CSA Shareholders! Get to know the people (and the soil!) behind your food, and connect with other like-minded friends and neighbors through special events.

Read Oxbow’s response to COVID-19 and our Farming Health & Safety practices to learn about the ways we’re keeping our community safe.

Market Style = Flexibility and Choice

Oxbow’s Market Style CSA puts you in control of exactly what produce—and how much—you take home each week. Need extra lettuce for a potluck? Already stocked up on chard? Need to take a week off for summer vacation? No problem! Our Market Style CSA is all about flexibility and choice to help you waste less, eat better, and support a local King County farm and nonprofit organization.

When you visit our on-site CSA Farm Stand, bring your own reusable tote bags or boxes and fill them with a rainbow of fruit and veggies that you select—or even pick yourself—based on what’s in season! You also have the option to select your Share at our Mercer Island Farmers Market booth (additional market locations will be announced in spring of 2020).
