We’re looking to fill two positions: 

Part-Time Seasonal Facilities Assistant, May-November

Here’s a great part-time opportunity for someone who like’s to build, fix, learn, and spend lots of time outdoors – bonus points if you love food and cooking! Oxbow’s part-time Seasonal Facilities Assistant will split time between supporting grounds maintenance and public engagement efforts. Time will be spent on technical projects (directly supervised) and performing independent grounds work, such as mowing, trail building, and mechanical removal of invasive weeds.

This position will provide facilities support on days when Oxbow is open to the public and at private events, helping maintain the parking areas and keep the grounds and facilities clean and operational, and operating our wood fired grill and pizza ovenThis position is ideal for someone with light trade skills and an interest in land stewardship, who takes pride in their work and appreciates a job well done.

Compensation: $12-$13/hr with some paid time off access to fresh food from the fields.

Seasonal Educator and Program Liaison, April-November

This is a full time seasonal position is perfect for someone who likes a little bit of everything, from farming and gardening, to educating kids, to working behind-the-scenes to provide communication and support to parents and teachers. The Seasonal Educator & Program Liaison contributes to creating, planning, implementing, monitoring, and documenting Oxbow’s outdoor and educational programs for children. These include field trips, summer camps, in-school programs, and activities at public events. The position involves both administrative and programmatic functions, including supporting program registrations, providing customer service to teachers and parents, and coordinating with teachers prior to field trips.

In collaboration with the education team, the Seasonal Educator and Program Liaison will develop and deliver educational programming including curricular enhancements for existing programs and new initiatives. They will also contribute to summer camp activities and planning, including creative contributions of stories, crafts, music, or Kids’ Farm features, and serve as camp instructor for our five weeks of summer day camps. Responsibilities will include parent communication and contribution to staff and volunteer training for camp and seasonal Farm Adventures field trips.

This position also contributes to the growing and upkeep of the Kids’ Farm and Living Playground, public programming, and representing the education programs vis-à-vis other Oxbow staff (administration, volunteer coordination, communication, etc.).

Compensation: $14-$15/hr with some paid time off and access to fresh food from the fields.
