Volunteer to harvest goodness & share abundance
Together, we’ll fulfill the call to care through hands-on farm work that feeds families and fosters bonds between land and people.
Join Jewish Family Service at Oxbow Farm & Conservation Center to help harvest certified organic fruits and vegetables that go directly to families facing food insecurity—fresh from the field to those who need it most.
Sessions are coordinated by our amazing food access partners, and advance registration is required through Jewish Family Service. Email volunteer@jfsseattle.org with the subject “Oxbow Gleaning.”

You’ll Experience:
- Hands-on Harvesting: Roll up your sleeves and gather fresh, organic produce alongside Oxbow farmers and fellow volunteers
- Agricultural Insights: Deepen your knowledge of sustainable farming practices and food justice issues
- Active Outdoor Service: Engage in meaningful, physical work in the fields—rain or shine
- Community Connection: Build bonds with like-minded volunteers while contributing to a shared mission of food security
- Tangible Impact: Help ensure nutritious food reaches communities that otherwise lack access to fresh, nourishing produce
Get Outside. Give Back. Grow Community.
Come out for a day of meaningful work—or return throughout the season to deepen your impact. Email Jewish Family Service to help nourish neighbors in need.
