Volunteer Opportunity: Restoration Work Party

February 29, 2020 @ 10:00 am - 2:00 pm

World Wildlife Day is coming up on March 3rd. We love living among the wild animals out here at Oxbow. One of the biggest challenges faced by wildlife is loss of habitat and habitat is what we are putting back on the land when we plant native trees and shrub and remove weeds like blackberry and clematis. The native plants that you put in the ground provide homes, nest sites, and a variety of food for the wild animals of the Snoqualmie Valley.

Come volunteer at Oxbow and help us restore the native habitats around the farm. We will provide gloves, tools, and water.

You should bring:

  • your reusable water bottle
  • boots or close-toed shoes
  • clothes to get muddy in
  • weather-appropriate outerwear
  • snacks or lunch if you want them

Please note that while we welcome minors to volunteer with us, the following waiver must be filled out by a parent or guardian and returned to our Restoration Volunteer Coordinator, either by email at dawn@oxbow.org or in person, the day of your volunteer event!
